This is a great substitute for the more strenuous Mt. Kilimanjaro trek! The paths travel through Arusha National Park and provide stunning vistas from beginning to conclusion. Look for giraffes, buffaloes, and black and white colobus monkeys as you start your journey—what a fantastic way to start your journey!

Daily Adventure Plan
You will be welcomed and taken to Karibu Heritage House as soon as you arrive at the airport in Kilimanjaro or Arusha. A fascinating option for an Arusha city tour, depending on your time, is to see the famous art gallery (Cultural Heritage), the local market, and the lively Maasai Market.

After driving from Arusha to the Arusha National Park Gate, we will stop for a quick registration. A committed armed ranger will accompany us on our stroll. We will have the amazing chance to see a variety of exotic species along the trip, including antelopes, giraffes, elephants, zebras, and monkeys. On the hike, we might even see elephants.
We'll end the day with dinner and an overnight stay at Miriakamba Hut.

Despite being short, the hike from Miriakamba Hut to the saddle behind Little Meru is quite steep. We'll take our time as we follow the ridge, which provides stunning views of the majestic Ash Cone and the Meru Crater. A delicious lunch is waiting for you in Saddle Hut, and those who are up for the challenge can make the short ascent to Little Meru's summit (3,820m), which offers breathtaking views right before sunset.
We're going to Saddle Hut for dinner and overnight.

We leave early at 1:30 a.m. and start a strenuous ascent to Rhino Point (3,800m) and then on to Cobra Point (4,350m). When we arrive at the peak (4,566m), we are welcomed by the magnificent sunrise and have the opportunity to see Kilimanjaro Peak peeking through the clouds. We follow an exhilarating narrow ridgeline between the crater's sloping outer wall and its sheer inner cliffs for the last part of the ascent. We take a quick break and have brunch at Saddle Hut before starting the descent to Miriakamba Hut.

We will have a quick and simple descent that offers chances to see wildlife as we pass through open grassland and mixed forest. We'll arrive at Momella Gate by late morning, where you'll receive a summit certificate. When you return to your accommodation in Moshi or Arusha, your return transfer will be waiting for you.
